Surendra Jung Basnet is a Nepalese, educated and trained in the fields of Burns, Reconstructive,Oncoplastic and Microsurgery. He has participated in numerous trainings and programs all aroundthe world in these fields. Based on his research, publications and 20 yrs of clinical experience, hetrains a newer and younger generation of plastic surgeons in the country. He was instrumental inthe establishment and standardization of burn care in Nepal, as well as raising the bar forreconstructive surgery. He has gained recognition from different communities, the government, andNGOs/INGOs for providing the best treatment and care to patients. He is also involved with severalcharities and NGOs to uplift the lives of fellow Nepalese by improving healthcare and healtheducation.
